    Remote May Be Faulty

Can you see the indicator light on the remote when you press a button?

If the indicator light is not working, then try replacing the batteries.

If, after replacing the batteries, the indicator light still does not work, you will require a new remote. Call us to order a replacement remote, or click here.

For the Genius or Classic lifestyle adjustable bed models purchased after 2001, replacement remotes are no longer manufactured by the supplier. However, you can purchase a conversion kit to make your adjustable base compatible with today's remote controls.

If the indicator light comes on but the bed does not respond, unplug the bed from the wall outlet, wait 15 seconds, and plug it back in. Try adjusting the bed.

If the bed still does not respond, then it looks like the remote will need to be reprogrammed. Follow the instructions below.

  • How can I reprogram my remote to be paired with my bed?

    +

First, unplug your bed (or beds if you have 2) from the wall outlet, wait 15 seconds and plug it back in.

Follow this paragraph for the Genius (grey remote) or Classic Models:

Take the remote for the bed that was not working, and locate the upper left button (line with the arrow) and bottom left button (head with a line). Push down on these 2 buttons simultaneously and hold for approximately 10 seconds. Release the buttons and try to adjust bed. If all is good don’t forget to plug the other bed back in.

Follow this paragraph for the WallHugger and Pillow-Tilt models:

Take the remote for the bed that was not working, and locate the upper left button (foot up) and 2nd button from the bottom left button (the full incline preset button). Push down on these 2 buttons simultaneously and hold for approximately 10 seconds. Release the buttons and try to adjust bed. If all is good don’t forget to plug the other bed back in.

  • My massage is noisy. How can I reduce the noise?

    +

If you are able, or can find a helping hand, turn the lifestyle adjustable bed onto its side. Tighten the bolts holding the massage motors in place.

  • How can I reprogram my remote to be paired with my bed?

    +

If you purchased your bed prior to 2008, look and see if you have any broken plastic under your bed. If so, this indicates that the Acme Nut has broken. The Acme Nut goes on the shaft of the lift motor and allows the head or foot of the bed to raise.

Call us to order a new Acme Nut, or click here.

  • Can I program both my lifestyle adjustable beds to one remote?

    +

Yes, you can do this! First, unplug both your beds from the wall outlet, wait 15 seconds and plug them back in.

Follow this paragraph for the Genius (grey remote) or Classic Models: On the remote, locate the upper left button (line with the arrow) and bottom left button (head with a line). Push down on these 2 buttons simultaneously and hold for approximately 10 seconds. Release the buttons and try to adjust bed.

Follow this paragraph for the WallHugger and Pillow-Tilt models: Take the remote for the bed that was not working, and locate the upper left button (foot up) and 2nd button from the bottom left button (the full incline preset button). Push down on these 2 buttons simultaneously and hold for approximately 10 seconds. Release the buttons and try to adjust bed. If they do not both program right away, repeat the steps above until they both pick up the same frequency.
